Truecaller has received a new update that brings a bunch of new features and overhauled design. The update can be installed on Android devices right now while the iPhone users will receive it in the coming days. Here's what's new.

Full-screen caller ID
With the new update, Truecaller has added a full-screen caller ID that will show incoming calls in a full-screen and help you identify the type of call you are receiving with colours. If Truecaller shows a Blue screen then this would mean you are getting calls from your contacts or unknown numbers, purple screen stands for priority calls from delivery services or businesses, red for spam calls and lastly gold screen would mean you are receiving a call from a user with upgraded Gold account.
If you wish to enable the new full-screen caller ID interface, you can head to the Settings menu > Caller ID > Full Screen.
Home tab
A Home tab has also been introduced where you will be able to find the latest activity, make a VOIP call, voice call or text. This tab will display Messages, Contacts, Calls, UPI and Premium merged into a single list as opposed to earlier where you had different icons for each of these features.
However, you will still have Contacts, Premium, and Payments tabs with the new Home tab.
Important tab
Truecaller has also brought a new 'important tab' where you can find all your messages and one-tap payments on transactional SMS.
“Soon, we will also let people manually mark messages as important that is if there is something which is let's say, not a bill, but maybe something from your kids' school that came in that you would like to remember or something that your wife sent or your kid sent to you that you would like to remember later, you can manually mark them as important and they will also show up in your Important tab,” noted Kunal Dua, Product Director, Truecaller Messaging.
Clean design
Further, Truecaller has got a new look with a fresh interface and clean design elements.
