Lata Mangeshkar shares an old pic with Rishi Kapoor: Yeh dukh sehna mere liye mushkil hai

Actor Rishi Kapoor passed away today morning at 8:54. Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar shared a throwback picture with the late actor to pen her heartfelt condolence.


It was with 1970's film Mera Naam Joker that Rishi Kapoor made his debut in Bollywood as a child artist. The actor even won a National Film Award for his role in the film. Later, Rishi emerged as the chocolate boy of the film industry, when he made her debut as a lead actor with the film Bobby in 1973 opposite Dimple Kapadia. He even won the Filmfare Best Actor award for the film and the actor carved his niche in the film industry.
Yesterday, the actor was admitted to a Mumbai hospital as his cancer had relapsed and today at 8:54 am, he left for his heavenly abode. Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar shared an old picture with the late actor and penned heartfelt condolence. 
Mangeshkar took to Twitter and shared two posts. For the first one, she tweeted, "Kya kahun? Kya likhu kuch samajh mein nahi aaraha hai. Rishi ji ke nidhan se mujhe bahut dukh ho raha hai.Unke jaane se film industry ki bahut haani hui hai. Ye dukh sehena mere liye bahut mushkil hai.Bhagwan unki aatma ko shanti pradan karein."
For her second tweet, she shared an old pic with Rishi and wrote, " Kuch samay pehle Rishi ji ne mujhe unki aur meri ye tasveer bheji thi.wo sab din,sab baatein yaad aarahi hain. Main shabdheen hogayi hun."

On January 28, Rishi had shared the same photo and had tweeted, " नमस्ते लता जी। आपके आशीर्वाद से देखिए मुझे अपनी दो या तीन महीने वाली अपनी पिक्चर मिल गई। सदा आपका आशीर्वाद रहा है मुझ पर। बहुत बहुत धानियवाद। क्या मैं दुनिया को बता सकता हूँ ये तस्वीर ट्विटर पे डाल के?ये एक बेशक़ीमती पिक्चर है मेरे लिए!" 
Excerpts from Rishi's family's official statement read "Our dear Rishi Kapoor passed away peacefully at 8:45am IST in hospital today after a two-year battle with leukemia. The doctors and medical staff at the hospital said he kept them entertained to the last.  He remained jovial and determined to live to the fullest right through two years of treatment across two continents. Family, friends, food and films remained his focus and everyone who met him during this time was amazed at how he did not let his illness get the better of him."

Ladakh:  The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel celebrated India's 71st Republic Day at 17,000 feet in the freezing temperature of Ladakh.
