Realme X50 Pro 5G vs IQOO 3: The 5G war in India has started

The 5G war in India will begin next week and we are about to witness some interesting turn of events.

The Indian smartphone market will witness the rise of the first 5G wave with the launch of two smartphones one after one. Set to become India's first 5G smartphone brand, Realme will launch the X50 Pro 5G on February 24 while Vivo's IQOO will launch its 5G phone, IQOO 3, a day after, as it has missed the window by one day. It will be interesting to see the launches of these two 5G phones, especially when India does not even have the 5G network.
For Realme, the focus is on consumers, irrespective of the availability of the 5G network in the country. A Realme official told PTI earlier this week that the brand wants to cater to the segment of consumers who would travel abroad, mainly to the countries that have 5G readily available to use. IQOO, on the other hand, is setting out to launch its brand in India under the reigns of Vivo. While the 5G quotient is equally important to IQOO, it has a far greater challenge of educating the Indian consumers on its brand, more than what its smartphone will offer in an already-crowded market.
Notably, Realme and IQOO are kick-starting the 5G war in India, even though the ammunition they are about to use does not really make sense within the purview. As long as the brand can brag about their products, 5G is convincing to not only the brands but also to the customers who would want to own a 5G product despite have no framework for its productivity. This is to say that even though a customer may own a 5G phone from either Realme or IQOO, they will still be using 4G network, much like they would on any other 4G smartphone.
By now, it should be clear why the 5G war is vaguely unnecessary. Starting out a war on the basis of 5G makes no sense at large. But, Realme and IQOO are convinced that they will be able to entice customers on the basis of the 5G tag their smartphones will come with. However, that is not all. Realme and IQOO are also fighting to become the first smartphone brand to launch India's first Snapdragon 865-powered smartphone. The Realme X50 Pro 5G and IQOO 3 are powered by the latest flagship processor that was launched by Qualcomm back in December last year. There are more top-of-the-line specifications that will form the base of the 5G war.
No matter who wins or loses, Indian consumers will be in for a treat though. They will be able to flaunt one of the first 5G smartphones in India. They can also experience the performance of the Snapdragon 865 processor, which has been tested to be one of the best chipsets on a smartphone by far. We are excited to see how things will turn out for both Realme and IQOO. The 5G war starts next week, so stay tuned to our coverage.
