Nithiin reveals the reason behind keeping his relationship with his fiancee Shalini under wraps

When you meet someone and a mere glimpse of that person makes you skip a heartbeat, understand that you have found the one! From finding your soulmate to walking down the aisle, the courtship period is always the most cherished and memorable. Telugu actor Nithiin is also going through the same emotions of happiness. He recently exchanged rings with his long-time girlfriend Shalini. In an interview, Nithiin revealed the reason behind keeping his relationship under wraps for a long time.
Nithiin said that the couple planned to keep their love story away from media attention because of Shalini. Shalini is a media-shy persona and he met the actor for the first time in 2012. "It is true that it is difficult to keep the love of celebrities under wraps but we managed to do it. Actually, I met her in 2012 through a common friend and our friendship blossomed into love over the years," Nithiin told Great Andhra
Nithiin also revealed how he proposed to Shalini and said that he didn't want to do it the stereotypical way. He added, "I didn’t want to do the routine way of proposing by going down on my knees and so I proposed to her on one leg and she said yes."
Shalini Kandukuri is an MBA graduate from the UK and is from Hyderabad. Nithiin met her eight years ago and the two have been in a relationship from the past 5 years. Nithiin describes his love story as a simple love story with non-filmy stuff. Nithiin added, "I neither tried to woo her nor she did. It just happened as we have a good understanding and trust towards each other."
On February 15, Nithiin took to Instagram and shared pictures from his engagement with Shalini. The couple looked stunning and picture-perfect on the occasion in traditional outfits. Shalini looked gorgeous in a bright yellow lehenga and heavily embroidered blouse while Nithiin opted for a light pink kurta-pyjama. The couple is all set to tie the knot on April 16.

On the work front, Nithiin is gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie Bheeshma, which is scheduled to release tomorrow (February 21).
